More Garbage Shoved at the Catholic Church

On May 6 through May 8th the Vatican is holding a conference titled, “Mind-Body-Soul. How Innovation and Novel Delivery Systems Improve Human Health, being hosted by the Pontifical Council for Culture, an online “Unite and Prevent” conference involving doctors, scientist, religious leaders, philanthropists and others. Now this council started in 2011 with the aim of teaching the wrong-doing of infant stem cell research and promote the research of adult stem cell research, but has broaden in scope of time culminating into the upcoming conference.

Now just by the short description that I have just laid out it doesn’t seem harmful at all does it? Now let us look at the speakers that will various topics into this conference.

Our first guest is Dr. Anthony Fauci an immunologist who has spearheaded the drive of handling the COVID-19 outbreak under President Trump and President Biden’s administration. Although a world leading immunologist, it is funny that between him and the CDC most of the time on this subject we could not tell if we were coming or going. Now I will say in the early days there was not enough data to make good decisions, however, those days are gone by and I still do not see a solid decision being made. We are trying shots that are made from stem cells, aborted babies, and as of recent we find out that the Johnson and Johnson shot is too dangerous to take and the Pfizer will now require a booster. On top of all of this we still must mask and maintain distance. See where I am going with this as far as having him as a speaker at this conference.

“New Age” guru Deepak Chopra will also be a speaker at the conference. He is a big proponent of pseudo-science, which by definition is “a collection of beliefs or practices mistakenly regarded as being based on scientific method.” He is a renowned internal medicine doctor specializing in endocrinology. The part that has me worried is that he is a major leader in the pseudo-science movement and how much of this will come out in the conference?

Next is Dame Jane Goodall, a world famous conservationist and chimpanzee expert. What will she have to offer? I wonder especially since she is a major player in population control and believes that the population should go back to what it was 500 years ago. Let’s not come up with viable solutions, which there are solutions, to take care of where we are at with the poor and sick, bringing the advances of medicine to all, lets just use population control to diminish our numbers.

Chelsea Clinton had to be here, this was a no brainer. She holds a Masters Degree in public health, but in 2018 stated that it would be Un-Christian to ban legalized abortion. With this type of attitude, what fruitful things does she have to bring to this conference.

The list goes on with a count of 100 speakers from various fields of expertise and most of thinking are not inline with the Catholic Church.

Now do not get me wrong, I think conferences are great, especially when we can as Catholics show that religion and science go hand in hand and advance together. However, I see this conference as an opportunity to let more Anti-Catholic teaching invade our church.

As stated earlier the original purpose of this council was to promote the wrong-doing of infant stem cell research and promote the research with adult stem cells. This conference although under the guise of scientific brotherhood for all is nothing more than an opportunity for the left thinking, Anti-Catholic regime to push their agenda. Oh and you will notice that there was no mention of speaking on the well being of the soul, although it is in the title.

May God Bless you and your family,

Jim

Happy Easter, Let’s Not Forget

Happy Easter to All. Our Savior is Risen, and we are free to be united with God in Heaven if we only follow His way. During this Easter week our celebration will continue, but I cannot help think that the promises we made during our Lenten journey. We are to celebrate our Lord’s resurrection, the second chance for mankind. This whole Easter week is a continuation of Easter Sunday. However, in our celebration, as I stated earlier, we should remember the sacrifices we made during Lent and I think that we should continue making these sacrifices for Our Lord. Maybe we could even offer our uncomfortableness to the souls in Purgatory. Christ has died for us, for our sins, He arose from the dead to open Heaven for us again and the way I see it the least we can do is offer up our sacrifices back up to Him. We should continually offer up some sort of sacrifice to Him, we should bare our crosses. Christ may have died for us and opened the gates of Heaven again, but it does not remove the fact that we still have to bare our crosses, our trials and tribulations. However, lest we forget that this is part of getting to Heaven, by trying to do our Purgatory here on earth.

So once again, Happy Easter all week long and may God continue to bless you and your family.

What to Do With the Blog??

As you can see I have been away for sometime now and really time has flown by quickly. I took the time off to decide what I wanted to do with this site. I have another site at soldierchriost.com and there as well I decided to take some time off and decide what was the purpose of the blogging. You can see that what did was hop on the bandwagon and tackle newsworthy items or complain about what was going on with the church at the time. This was not my intention. The purpose of the blog is to teach about the faith. I will use secular and church related topics to do this, however I will not bash the authority. If I see that the authority is going against the church I will point it out, but not bash upon them.

So as I gather my thoughts and decide what the next post will cover, stay tuned and drop in from time-to-time.

May God Bless you and your family,

Jim

Are we the Children of Light or Darkness?

He Who Loves God, Loves His Brother

I have been watching the news about the world reaction to what happened at the capital, the impeachment of President Trump and the Republicans who are jumping ship. I also reflected on world history among nations over time, going all the way back to the Old Testament. It is like watching a re-run over and over again. Man does not get along, even the allies do not get along 100 percent.

I realize that this is because of Original Sin, how Original Sin has twisted our very nature for peace. Even peaceful people sin, even they get angry and disgusted and dare I say even once in their lifetime have hated someone.

As I was preparing for my Lay Ministry Class, one of the readings to reflect upon was from 1 John 4:11-21. This section talked about God’s love. Remember He has an unconditional love, an eternal love, for He is love itself and thus He is incapable of hating, for if He was, we would not be around. I believe that God would have started over.

Getting back to the point though, verses 20 and 21 really caught my eye. Here is what is written:” If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar, for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

I believe here lies the problem, from laypeople to leaders of the world’s nations. People say they love God but do act like it. We do not help the downtrodden, we go after our adversary, we compete to be top dog while stepping on whomever we have to, to get to the top. We lie, cheat, and steal to become Numero Uno. In our nation we have a perfect example of this within the election of the Presidency. We see the opposition to our current President go after him with outright lies and accusing him of doing what they are exactly doing themselves; stirring up the emotions of the American People, dividing our country, just so they can be top dog.

You see this within my own Catholic Church. Priests disobeying their Bishops, Bishops thinking of only making Cardinal. Various leaders within the Church all the way to the Pope misleading people on various teachings including the current vaccination for COVID 19.

We hate and lie, yet we say that we are a people of God. We say that we are of the light, yet we act like children of darkness.  Now do not get me wrong, I am far from perfect, I am a sinner just like everyone else, but what I see is people not wanting to change their ways. I see people telling that they are doing what they do for them, for the good of all. But at what cost? Not just the here and now, but eternally. How many think of their souls while supposedly doing the tramping of others for the good of the all. We need to sacrifice for others, pray for others so that this world, our country might become a God fearing nation again.

Remember, If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar, for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

May God Bless you and your family,

Jim

Consequences of running from God.

Below is a link to an article that I read and totally agree with. It highlights what I have been saying for sometime about the Catholic Church, especially here in America, and the mishandling of the pandemic. Instead of running toward God, and leading the people during this crisis, the church hierarchy shut down the churches, limited Masses, limited Sacraments or no Sacraments at all were given. Copy and paste the link and enjoy the read. Let me know what you think.

Will China conquer us from within?

Here is an area that many people seem to avoid at all costs, the world of politics. There is much in the air in this arena nowadays and people need to wake up and see what is going on before it is too late. As catholics and christians we are to defend the basic human rights, and with what is coming if we do not start to stand up it will be too late for our younger generation.

I read an article on the Epoch Times today that pretty much hits the bullseye on what is part of the problem with our government and their inadequate care of our country. Now do not get me wrong, I am not for big government and handing out what people think they are entitled to, but I do believe that their should be people who can make laws to help with the basic human needs. I believe that as Catholics and Christians we need to reach out to others and help them when they are down. I believe that we need to stand up to a government who tries to oppress its people, or a government who lets small socialistic ideas creep into our society.

This article describes what I am talking about much better than I could ever wr ite. Copy and paste the link and read it for yourselves. Let me know what you think. Happy Anniversary Kim!! (34 Years)

My wife and I were married today December 27, 1986, 34 years ago and on this day in Custer South Dakota it was 65 degrees outside. The reason I mention this is because anyone familiar with the Dakota’s know that our winters are normally cold and snowy, yet this day it was not. We started off with me working at a local Piggly Wiggly making 3.35 per hour, working 36 hours a week and going to college full-time in a town an hour away called Rapid City. In January we become pregnant with our first son Jonathan James, who is now a priest in our diocese. Life went on with me working and going to college and Jonathan getting bigger. Then in January 1989 our second son was born, Steven Tyler who is now an MP in the Army at Ft. Hood Texas with his wife and two of my grandchildren, Michael and Macie.

In April of 1990, I entered the Army and after basic training and AIT I was sent to Germany on Thanksgiving Day of 1990. On February 14th of 1991, my wife and two sons came over to our home in Prum, Germany. My family was with me until 1993 when my pregnant wife of 6 moths had to fly back with my two sons before she was too far along to fly. Our 3rd child, Joseph Daniel was born at Ellsworth AFB. He has graduated with his Masters in Social Work and lives in Wyoming. I would not come home for another year.

When I finally came home in 1994, I picked up my family and went to Ft. Hood Texas and was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division. We were there from 1994 to 1997 and our first daughter Catherine Elizabeth, was born at Ft. Hood. She just got engaged and lives in Rapid City with her fiance Stephen and three of my grandchildren, Aullora, Adyson, and Jayden. Then in the summer of 1997 I had orders coming down to go to Korea, which at this time was an 18 month un-accompanied tour. I decided that I did not want to be apart form my family for that long so I was due for another enlistment, so I signed up for another 4 and asked for Germany. Meanwhile as she had always done, my family ran the household and did a fine job in raising the children. I could not have done any of this without her.

In 1997 my family and I went back to Germany, actually right back to the unit that three years ago I had left. We were there from 1997 to 1999 when my entire unit moved back to Ft. Bliss. During our time in Germany our 5th child, Breanna Mai was born in Landstuhl, Germany.

Arriving at Ft. Bliss Texas in July of 1997 was one of my most unpleasant assignments and it was hard for my family as well. If it were not for my wife again, I do not know how it would have ended. She held us altogether and it was her strength that kept it together as after my injury I saw my time winding down with the military. I was medically discharged December 17, 2001 from the Army. During our time at Ft. Bliss two more kiddos came along, Number 6 Hannah Maria, who is engaged and lives in Texas and Thomas Alexander who lives in Custer.

We have been living in Custer since December of 2001. During this time we bought a trailer and Anthony Michael came along as child 8. He is a senior in high school. However with the addition we had to find a house and so we bought a house in 2005. Since then Carolynn Ann, number 9, Terasa Rennee, number 10, and Ruby Rose, number 11 were all born in Rapid City. I went to college, worked for awhile until the VA permanently retired me. My wife works as a DSP in Rapid City. During the 34 years that we have been together, she has been the rock of the family, especially in our time in the military. She has been and always will be the love of my life. I fell in love with her the first time I saw her and I fall in love with her more and more everyday.

She has given me 11 beautiful children and many happy memories. She has helped me with my, our faith and kept me on track. Many good years and many more to come. I cannot wait for the years to come. Thank you Kim for saying Yes, thank you for being by my side. I love you now and forever.

Jim
